The Hamas leader Abdurrahman Shadid slammed the Palestinian Authority (PA) for the continuation of its offensive practices against the Palestinian citizens in the West Bank saying that the PA’s ceaseless violations are unacceptable.
In a press statement on Wednesday Shadid highlighted that the PA security forces carry out arrest and summons campaigns against university students and ex-prisoners in the West Bank for their political affiliation. The detainees are usually subjected to assaults and severe beating in the PA jails he added.
The Hamas leader called on the Committee of Freedoms in the West Bank to take action with regards to the PA continuous violations. He also asked the human rights organizations to intervene in order to halt these offensive practices and expose them to the Palestinian public opinion.
