Mahmoud al-Zahhar member of Hamas’s Political Bureau declared that Rafah border crossing will be open on daily basis by the end of this month.
Zahhar told The Gulf Online news website on Friday that the crossing will be open for the traffic of residents as well as traders.
The Hamas leader stressed that the permanent opening of the crossing will solve many crises in Gaza Strip especially alleviating the decade-long siege.
Zahhar said “There are positive developments coming in the near future that will dramatically alleviate the siege including the opening of Rafah crossing”.
The Egyptian authorities have recently promised Hamas Movement to relieve the humanitarian suffering of the Gazan people through opening Rafah crossing regularly and opening a commercial crossing in order to facilitate the commercial traffic according to previous remarks by the Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya.
