The Israeli security wall on Gaza borders is a futile step political bureau member of Hamas Salah al-Bardawil said on Thursday.
Al-Bardawil told the PIC that the so-called security fence built by the Israeli government only aims to persuade the Israelis to pay taxes to the occupation army.
According to al-Bardawil the measure is insignificant and carries a meaningless message.
The Israeli occupation authorities announced their intent to speed up building a huge wall around the blockaded Gaza Strip in a bid to prevent what it claims to be tunneling into the occupied territories.
The long wall will reach a depth of dozens of meters below the ground and a height of 6 meters above it.
The project is expected to cost approximately four billion shekels.
