Popular Conference for the Palestinians Abroad called on Palestinians along with Arabs and Muslims and the international public opinion to protect Islamic sacred places.
In a statement on Thursday the Palestinians Abroad Conference demanded an end to the Israeli punitive measures imposed at al-Aqsa Mosque including the installation of metal detectors at the holy site.
The statement also condemned Israeli security measures aimed at imposing sovereignty over al-Aqsa Mosque and assaulting worshipers and sit-inners in the vicinity of the holy shrine.
The conference also praised the preachers of al-Aqsa Mosque especially Sheikh Ekrema Sabri who was injured during clashes with Israeli policemen.
