The Palestinian Abroad Conference hailed in a statement issued Saturday the “heroic shooting in al-Aqsa Mosque” calling for more sacrifices in defense of Palestinian lands and holy sites.
Earlier on Friday three Palestinians were killed during an armed confrontation in al-Aqsa Mosque. Two Israeli police officers were also proclaimed dead.
Following the incident PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to condemn the shooting.
The Palestinian Abroad Conference denounced Abbas’s position against “Palestinian youths’ legitimate right to defend Palestine.”
It also warned of the seriousness of Israeli ban on Friday prayer at al-Aqsa holding the occupation authorities responsible for its implications.
The Conference appealed to the Arab and Islamic nation and the free world to condemn the Israeli deliberate killing of one of the three Palestinians who carried out the attack after he was detained unarmed.
The statement also called for intensifying Palestinian presence in occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa and for escalating Palestinian intifada (uprising) in protest against Israeli unprecedented restrictions in the city.
It also called for a week of rage and for massive marches in support of al-Aqsa.
