Anti-siege rallies to sweep blockaded Gaza Strip

Thursday 13-July-2017

Gaza’s Anti-Siege Youth Movement announced the launch of a series of protests on Friday to push the Israeli occupation and the Palestinian Authority (PA) chaired by Mahmoud Abbas to lift the noose tightened around Gazans’ neck.

The Youth Movement called on the Palestinian masses during a press release at Gaza’s seaport to join the rallies set to be staged at 08:00 p.m. on Friday to press for lifting the Israeli-PA blockade.

The Movement’s spokesman Mahmoud al-Ila said: “We’ve run out of patience. We’ve been deprived of power free movement and labor.”

“It is high time we stood up against the siege and took a firm stance against the Israeli occupation the PA and any other party responsible for the blockade slapped on Gaza” he said.

Quoting Nelson Mandela al-Ila added that “freedom cannot be given in doses. Either you live free or get kicked out by darkness until you die in the ark of forgetfulness.”
