Khudari asks PA government to provide medicines for Gaza hospitals

Friday 30-June-2017

Head of the Popular Committee against the Siege MP Jamal al-Khudari said on Friday that the vital sectors in the Gaza Strip must be kept outside the circle of political disputes.

“The situation in Gaza is unbearable and the suffering has reached its peak under an Israeli siege that has been ongoing for more than 10 years and three wars launched by Israel on Gaza which effects continue to worsen” Khudari said in a press statement.

Khudari slammed the Palestinian Authority (PA) government for its latest punitive measures against Gaza and asked it to provide the medical supplies needed to the Gaza hospitals and resume issuing referrals for all patients in need for treatment abroad.

He urged the PA government to exempt the fuel sold to the Gaza power plant from the taxes imposed on it and to backtrack on its decision to reduce the Israeli power supplied to Gaza.

He pointed to the need to end the division and achieve national unity to be able to confront the siege the occupation and all Judaization and settlement projects.
