A high-level delegation from Hamas led by member of its political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk met on Monday with Lebanon’s general security chief Ibrahim Abbas in Beirut and briefed him on the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause.
Abu Marzouk discussed with the Lebanese official the situation in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon and reiterated Hamas’s support for the country’s security and stability.
The Hamas official also stressed the importance of neutralizing the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and not implicating them in any regional crises.
He said that the Palestinian people abroad are adherent to the option of resistance against the occupation and their right to return to their homeland.
For his part Ibrahim Abbas affirmed that the security authorities in Lebanon are keen on the stability of Palestinian refugee camps in the country calling on the Palestinian factions to assume their responsibilities in this regard especially in Ein al-Hilweh camp.
