Several Palestinians injured in violent clashes with Israeli forces

Wednesday 7-June-2017

Dozens of Palestinian protesters were shot and injured by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during clashes rocking West Bank provinces at daybreak Wednesday.

Dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed Qalqilya at predawn and wreaked havoc on civilian homes before they kidnapped the Palestinian citizen Mohamed Abu Khadija 29 from his family home.

Violent clashes flared up in the area where the Israeli forces attacked the Palestinian protesters with randomly-shot spates of live bullets wounding five youngsters. Dozens of others choked on teargas in the attack.

At the same time Israeli military patrols rolled into Khilet al-Mayah south of Yatta in al-Khalil and closed off the main access road to the area. The IOF targeted the Palestinians with teargas grenades.

The Palestinian anti-occupation youths responded to the assault by hurling stones and empty bottles at the Israeli patrols.

The IOF further kidnapped the Palestinian citizen Ibrahim Abu Ali after they broke into his family home south of Yatta.

Clashes also rocked the Arroub refugee camp north of al-Khalil province where the IOF kept chasing down Palestinian activists.

Meanwhile the Israeli forces destroyed a water tank in Tubas in the northern occupied West Bank.

The IOF kidnapped the Palestinian citizen Jihad Masa’id from Tubas and set up a series of makeshift checkpoints in the area.
