Israeli settlers’ break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque have increased over the last month in comparison with May 2016 Palestinian sources said Saturday.
Quds Center for the Study of the Palestinian and Israeli affairs affirmed that 3156 Israelis stormed the holy shrine in May 2017 including 2649 settlers 92 soldiers in their military uniform 405 students and 11 archaeologists.
33536 tourists also stormed the Mosque during the same period according to the sources.
The incursions notably intensified last month to mark the approach of the 50th anniversary of the occupation of Jerusalem the center underlined.
In May 2016 only 850 settlers stormed the compound’s plazas.
The settlers performed Talmudic rituals during the break-ins in total provocation to Palestinian worshipers who were denied access into the compound during Jewish holidays.
