Palestinian prisoner released after 12 years in Israeli custody

The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) released Tuesday the Palestinian prisoner Ali Bureijeh 40 from Negev prison after completing his 12-year prison sentence.

According to the PIC reporter Ali Bureijeh was released after fully serving his prison sentence.

Bureijeh from Bethlehem was immediately transferred to Beit Jala Hospital due to his deteriorating health condition after participating in the Palestinian prisoners’ Freedom and Dignity hunger strike declared on April 17 for 41 days.

The newly-released prisoner underlined that all the prisoners who joined the hunger strike suffer many health problems and sharp weight loss.

Marwan Barghouthi’s weight reached 47 kilograms he added.
