The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested Monday evening six Palestinians from al-Khalil and closed the southern entrance to al-Khader town to the south of Bethlehem.
The local activist Mohamed Awad affirmed that five Palestinian youths were arrested in Beit Ummar town and taken to Etzion military camp.
The five detainees were arrested while trying to put out the fire that erupted near the illegal settlement of Etzion he pointed out.
Another Palestinian young man was detained as clashes broke out in Bab al-Zawiya area in the city and taken to an unknown detention center.
Meanwhile IOF closed Monday evening the southern entrance to al-Khader town to the south of Bethlehem restricting the residents’ movement in both directions which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
During the clashes IOF soldiers heavily fired teargas bombs at local youths without any injuries being reported.
