Scores of injures reported in IOF quelling of solidarity marches

Scores of Palestinians sustained injuries by gunfire and suffocation during severe clashes that erupted after Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) quelled peaceful marches that kicked off in Occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank on Monday in solidarity with Palestinian hunger striking captives in Israeli jails.

Two Palestinian youths were injured by rubber bullets and many others choked on tear gas in Azzoun town east of Qalqilya city after IOF soldiers closed its main entrance.

Another young man was wounded after being shot with a Toto bullet. Others suffered breathing problems due to Israeli shooting of tear gas bombs and stun grenades in Nabi Saleh town near Ramallah. Israeli forces closed an iron gate at the entrance of the town.

Two other youths were injured by Israeli live bullets while a third was shot by a rubber one. Others choked on tear gas after IOF soldiers fired tear gas canisters at the entrance of Deir Sharaf town west of Nablus city. Clashes also broke out close to the southern barrier in Jericho city.

In Occupied Jerusalem three young men were shot by rubber bullets and about ten others suffered suffocation during clashes that erupted near Qalandiya barrier to the north of the city. Violent clashes also broke out in Silwan town to the south of al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem. Several injuries were reported.

Israeli Special Forces assaulted a Palestinian man along with his son near Damascus gate in Occupied Jerusalem before arresting the son.
