Palestinians in Ramallah laid to rest the 16-year-old female martyr Fatmah Hejaiji who was killed by Israeli gunfire in occupied Jerusalem last week after alleged stabbing attempt.
Local sources revealed that the funeral headed to the sit-in tent held in solidarity with Palestinian hunger striking prisoners in Israeli jails. The participants chanted slogans condemning Israeli offensive practices.
The funeral roamed the streets of Ramallah before arriving in Qarawa Bani Zeid town where the martyr was born. Commercial shops in Ramallah were closed while the funeral was passing through the city.
The body of the 16-year-old female martyr was detained since May 07 by Israeli authorities after she had been shot by 20 bullets fired by Israeli policemen at Damascus gate in Occupied Jerusalem last week.
