A rally was held by Hamas in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon on Wednesday in support for the Palestinian hunger strikers in Israeli jails.
Lebanese activists political parties representatives of Palestinian factions and civil society delegates were in attendance.
The speakers hailed the Palestinian hunger strikers who have been starving in Israeli jails to protest their abject detention conditions and mistreatment.
Deputy political chief of Hamas in Lebanon Dr. Ahmed Abdul Hadi acclaimed the prisoners’ iron will and strongly condemned the crimes they have been subjected to in Israeli jails vowing that a prisoner swap deal is coming up soon.
Abdul Hadi further pushed for combining efforts to soothe tension in Ein al-Hilweh camp keep refugees aloof from armed conflicts and stand on guard to the Israeli occupation.
