Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) announced the intention to impose comprehensive closure on the West Bank and Gaza crossings from Saturday midnight to Tuesday evening.
The spokesman of the Israeli army Avichay Adraee said that the closure will be imposed in order to mark the so-called “Independence Day” which is the same day on which the Israeli state was declared on the occupied Palestinian territories.
During the closure exceptional and humanitarian cases would be allowed to travel through border crossings after the approval of Israeli activities coordinator in occupied territories.
Israeli authorities usually tend to impose comprehensive military closures in the occupied Palestinian territories during the Jewish holidays under the pretext of security reasons.
