An Israeli policewoman was injured on Monday morning in an alleged stabbing attack carried out by a Palestinian woman at the Qalandiya checkpoint north of Occupied Jerusalem.
According to an Israeli police statement a 39-year-old Palestinian lady took out a knife from her bag and stabbed an Israeli policewoman before she was arrested.
The injured officer was transferred to a hospital to be treated for the light wounds sustained in the stabbing.
The alleged Palestinian stabber is a resident of al-Tiba town in Ramallah the statement added.
The Israeli police closed off Qalandiya checkpoint between Ramallah and Occupied Jerusalem shortly after the knife attack.
On Sunday four Israelis sustained injures in a Tel Aviv anti-occupation stabbing attack by a Palestinian youth.
