Head of Hamas Political Bureau Khaled Mishaal refused Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s threats to penalize Gaza Strip under the pretext of internal division. “Hamas does not care about threats and is capable to handle that wisely” Mishaal said.
Abbas threatened to pursue unprecedented firm measures against the Strip after Premier Rami al-Hamdallah’s government decided to cut Gaza employees’ salaries by 30-50%.
Palestine Chief Religious Justice Mahmoud Al-Habbash called for burning and ruining the besieged Gaza Strip. In his Friday sermon which was attended by Abbas Habbash said taking unprecedented measures against the blockaded coastal enclave is a must in order to foil what he called the conspiracy to liquidate the Palestinian Question.
Mishaal’s responses to Abbas’s threats were delivered on Saturday evening in the inauguration of the longest radio wave in the world in support of Palestinian prisoners. “Hamas aims not only at improving detention conditions of Palestinian prisoners but also at emptying Israeli jails” he said.
The Hamas leader stressed that resistance pressures Israeli authorities along with families of captive soldiers in order to liberate Palestinian prisoners.
Prisoner media office announced on Saturday evening the launch of the longest radio wave under the slogan “Million Years of Imprisonment” to mark the Palestinian Prisoner Day on April 17. It is expected to enter Guinness World Record the office pointed out.
