Palestinians kidnapped by Israeli army at daybreak

Thursday 13-April-2017

A number of Palestinians including students were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Thursday in mass abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.

Two Palestinian students—Yahya Rabi’ and Wa’d Fuqaha— enrolled at Birzeit University were kidnapped by the IOF from Ramallah.

The Islamic Bloc at Birzeit condemned Israel’s abduction of Rabi’ the group’s representative at the committee of student elections set to be held on May 10. The Islamic Bloc also condemned the abduction of the student activist Fuqaha.

Both students were arrested just a few days after they were released from the Palestinian Authority lock-ups where they had been subjected to harsh torture over their anti-occupation activism.

The Israeli forces also wreaked havoc on civilian homes in Ramallah’s eastern town of Silwad and expropriated three vehicles and cash estimated at $23700 before they withdrew from the town.

The IOF also stormed Bethlehem and kidnapped three Palestinian young men.
Palestinian youngster Ghaleb Hamdan was kidnapped by the Israeli soldiers from his family home in al-Tabaqa village in al-Khalil’s southern town of Dura.

At the same time the occupation army claimed in a statement responsibility for the abduction of six Palestinians from the West Bank on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.

Overnight Palestinian youngster Iyad Dabaya was kidnapped by the IOF as he was passing through a flying military checkpoint pitched east of Jenin province in the northern West Bank.
