The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said on Friday that Malek Hamed who carried out a car-ramming attack on Thursday near Ofra settlement in Ramallah was beaten by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at al-Maskubiyya detention center where he is being held.
A PPS lawyer said that he visited Hamed who told him that he was beaten and stripped of his clothes by the IOF.
According to the PPS Hamed did not sustain any injury.
The IOF arrested Malek Hamed who is from Silwad town to the east of Ramallah on 6th April 2017 after he carried out a car-ramming attack near Ofra settlement in Ramallah province killing one Israeli soldier and injuring others.
The IOF raided Hamed’s house at dawn Friday arrested his father and brother and took the house’s measurements in preparation for its demolition. Hamed’s father was later released but his brother remained in detention.
