The Israeli occupation forces banned five Muslim worshipers from al-Aqsa Mosque on the eve of the Jewish Passover.
Five Palestinians from Occupied Jerusalem including two members of the Awqaf (endowment) staff—Tareq al-Hashlamon and Hamza al-Namer—were banned from al-Aqsa.
Al-Awqaf staff members received a six-month ban while the head of the committee of Jerusalemite prisoners’ families Amjad Abu Asab received a one-month ban. Palestinian citizens Khaled al-Zeir and Jamil al-Abassi were banned from the site for three and four months respectively .
The bans come at a time when Israeli fanatic groups have launched calls for mass break-ins at al-Aqsa—the third holiest site in Islam—starting Thursday to mark the Passover holiday.
