The Israeli Ofer military court turned down an appeal filed on behalf of the Palestinian administrative detainee Walid al-Houdeli aged 57.
Head of the legal unit at the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) Jawad Boulos said the Israeli court confirmed the administrative term of prisoner al-Houdeli with neither charge nor trial.
The Ofer court pledged that the sentence will be the last issued against al-Houdeli in case new “secret data” do not emerge.
Palestinian detainee al-Houdeli was arrested on January 16 2017. His administrative sentence is slated to end in May.
He has reportedly spent a total of 15 years in Israeli jails and produced several writings on the prisoners’ cause. He is most known for his novel Curtains of Darkness.
