Ahmed Bahar first deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) talked over the phone on Tuesday with journalist and ex-detainee Ahlam al-Tamimi congratulating her on the Jordanian court verdict that rejected her extradition to the US over terror claims.
Bahar valued the position of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan towards the issue of Tamimi and urged the Arab countries to follow suit.
“Resistance is not international terrorism and the Palestinian people have the right to defend their land in accordance with the international law” he said.
The lawmaker also called upon the Arab and Muslim nations and the world’s free people to support the Palestinian people against the injustice inflicted on them by the US and Israel.
