Sunday 24-December-2006

DOHA (PIC)– Khaled Mishaal the political bureau chief of the Hamas Movement on Saturday addressed an open invitation to all Palestinian factions to initiate a comprehensive national dialogue that would end with the formation of a national unity government.

Mishaal speaking to Al-Jazeera TV network on Saturday evening said that Hamas was ready to attend such a dialogue without any conditions attached affirming however that the Palestinians should not bow to foreign pressures.

He stressed that PA chief Mahmoud Abbas’ call for early elections should not be implemented without national consensus pointing out that internal Palestinian differences were the result of foreign intervention.

The Abbas’ advisors are trying to impede any national dialogue before it starts Mishaal charged adding that they said that Hamas should accept the three conditions set by the international community in order to have a “fruitful dialogue”.

The international conditions stipulate recognizing Israel shunning resistance and accepting all past agreements signed by the PA with Israel.
