The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at a Palestinian girl over an alleged car-ramming attempt near Gush Etzion settlement north of al-Khalil city on Wednesday.
Hebrew media sources claimed that the Palestinian girl attempted to carry out a car-ramming attack targeting a group of Israeli soldiers at a military checkpoint near Gush Etzion.
According to the Hebrew TV Channel Seven the IOF soldiers opened fire at the Palestinian girl immediately on allegedly spotting her heading towards them. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has not made any statement about the health condition of the injured girl until this moment.
Eyewitnesses reported that the IOF prevented the Palestinian Red Crescent crews from reaching the scene and transferring the injured girl.
Palestinian media sources said that the injured girl is Fatemah Taqatqa 16 from Beit Fajjar town south of Bethlehem.
The IOF closed all entrances to Beit Fajjar and arrested the Palestinian youth Amjad Taqatqa at the main entrance of the town.
