The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) tightened Thursday evening their military restrictions at the Container checkpoint northeast of Bethlehem and at the eastern entrance to the city.
According to the PIC reporter Israeli forces prevented Palestinian movement in both directions at the Container checkpoint which links between the central and southern parts of occupied West Bank.
A second military checkpoint was erected at the eastern entrance to Bethlehem where Palestinian vehicles were stopped and searched.
Similar restrictions were imposed in Jenin where a military checkpoint was erected at Arqa village southwest of Jenin to the north of West Bank.
Head of the village council Ibrahim Yahya affirmed that Palestinian vehicles were stopped and searched at the checkpoint which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
