Israeli police revealed in a statement on Tuesday that a state of military and security alert was announced near Beersheba and the southern Bedouin town of Rahat due to the suspicion of a security incident.
Israeli police set up roadblocks and sent in reinforcements to the area. Additional police officers as well as security vehicles were summoned to the scene.
The police encouraged Israelis to call the police “about anything out of the ordinary” the statement pointed out.
