Swedish aid convoy arrives in Syria to deliver aid

The second Swedish aid convoy has arrived in Syria laden with about 2000 food parcels in addition to medical supplies for Palestinian and Syrian refugee families.

In cooperation with the UNRWA the participants in the convoy started their mission by distributing toys to children and opening a kitchen in Jarmana refugee camp near Damascus to serve free meals for refugees.

The convoy is due to arrive in al-Yarmouk refugee camp on Sunday and then move to Aleppo on Monday to deliver aid.

The delegates accompanying the convoy three men and three women arrived last Thursday in Lebanon and delivered food aid and toys in Burj al-Barajneh refugee camp Daraya area in the north governorate of Lebanon and Ein al-Hilweh refugee camp.
