Family to bid last farewell to Mohamed Jalad

Friday 17-February-2017

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) afternoon Friday handed over the body of a slain Palestinian youth to his family after withholding it for over a week’s time.

The Israeli forces released the body of 24-year-old Mohamed al-Jalad at the Anab military checkpoint in eastern Tulkarem province.

Jalad’s body is expected to be transferred to Dr. Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarem.

Mohamed Jalad died last Thursday. The Israeli occupation army pronounced him dead the following day at an Israeli hospital.

Jalad was arrested on November 9 2016 after he was shot by the Israeli forces on allegations of attempting to stab Israeli soldiers in Nablus’s southern town of Hawara. He was transferred to an Israeli hospital where he breathed his last.

The Israeli occupation authorities refused the family’s appeals to release the youngster despite his serious wounds and kept him in an intensive care unit.

The bodies of six anti-occupation Palestinian activists are still withheld in the Israeli Abu Kabir Forensic Institute.
