A Palestinian young man was injured on Friday after he was shot with rubber-coated bullets during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Tuqu’ town to the east of Bethlehem city and 3 others were injured in Madama village south of Nablus city.
According to a local source clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and the IOF which stormed Tuqu’ town during which a young man was shot in the face with rubber-coated bullets and then transferred to a medical clinic in the town where first aid was provided to him. His health condition was described as stable.
The source mentioned that the youths threw stones at the IOF soldiers who opened fire at them and showered them with tear gas canisters. The IOF closed the northern entrance to the town prevented citizens’ vehicles from entering or leaving and seized a number of vehicles.
Meanwhile 3 Palestinian youths were injured in the confrontations that erupted with the IOF on Friday in Madama village to the south of Nablus city.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that the confrontations broke out as the IOF raided the village in the evening hours and fired live and rubber bullets as well as sound bombs and tear gas canisters at the citizens injuring three of them as reported by the Red Crescent.
They said that ambulances of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society provided first aid to the injured before transferring them to hospitals in the city to complete treatment. The nature of the injuries was not precisely identified they added.
The Red Crescent said that the Israeli army is still detaining two other injured citizens and refuses to hand them over to the ambulance crews in the scene.
In a related development witnesses pointed out that the IOF arrested two young men in the southern area of the village and took them to an unknown destination.
