Moti Yogev Israeli Knesset member said that for every house evacuated from Amona the Israeli government will build hundreds of thousands of buildings in the West Bank settlements.
Yogev who is a member in the Jewish Home party said that the government’s plan of building more than three thousand settlement units is a proof of returning to normal construction in the West Bank.
“The next step will be imposing the Israeli law in all of the West Bank” according to Yogev.
For its part the Israeli police said in a statement that its members are being deployed around Amona settlement waiting for the evacuation procedures to start.
The Israeli army on the other hand urged the Israeli settlers to evacuate the settlement voluntarily in the next 48 hours while on the other hand Israeli activists are planning to protest the evacuation.
In 2014 the Israeli Supreme Court issued a verdict stipulating the evacuation of Amona settlement because it was built on Palestinian private land and the evacuation was supposed to be implemented in December 25 2016.
The Israeli Knesset will discuss next week a draft law tabled by members of the far-right coalition that aims at legalizing the settlement units built on Palestinian private lands.
