MP Jamal al-Khudari head of the Popular Committee against the Siege said that Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA) increases the list of products banned from entering the besieged Gaza Strip on a semi-daily basis by imposing more restrictions on the entry of products via Karm Abu Salem (The only partially opened crossing for the entry of goods).
In a statement on Tuesday Khudari stressed that the IOA bars the entry of raw materials specifically in order to obstruct development projects. He pointed to the aggravation of the economic crisis in the besieged enclave saying that the national economy has become paralyzed due to Israeli practices.
The IOA prevents the entry of over 500 kinds of the essential products for commercial and industrial sectors. It also hinders the entry of construction materials and cement needed for the reconstruction of Palestinian homes destroyed in the Israeli offensive on Gaza Strip in 2014 Khudari highlighted.
