Israeli troops roll into Bethlehem leave Palestinians wounded

Saturday 28-January-2017

A number of Palestinians on Saturday evening sustained injuries in clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the southern West Bank province of Bethlehem.

Reporting from Bethlehem a PIC news correspondent said Israeli army troops rolled into Tekou’ town and attacked the Palestinian protesters with heavy spates of rubber bullets and teargas canisters.

Several Palestinians were treated for breathing disorders.

The Palestinians responded by hurling stones and empty bottles at the occupation troops.

A few hours earlier two Palestinian youths were detained by the occupation soldiers for over a couple of hours at a flying military checkpoint pitched in Bethlehem’s town of al-Khader.

At the same time the IOF stormed the Aida refugee camp and set up ambushes in and around the camp in the hunt for Palestinian anti-occupation youths.
