Palestinian MPs deputies on the Change and Reform Bloc in the Palestinian Legislative Council in the West Bank condemned the arrest of their colleague MP Ahmad Mubarak 55. He was arrested by Israeli occupation forces who stormed and wreaked havoc in his home in Ramallah city at dawn Monday.
In a statement the MPs described the arrest of MP Mubarak as a “stupid policy” underlining that it will not affect the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and will not undermine their will.
MP Mubarak was arrested for five times while serving as Deputy. He served over 8 years in Israeli jails in different arrests; the last of which lasted from 2013 to 2014. The arrest of MP Mubarak has brought the number of the Palestinian MPs who are detained in Israeli prisons to seven.
