Friday 13-January-2017

Two Palestinians Abdul Khaleq Bernat and Ashraf Abu Rahma were injured on Friday during Israeli quelling of the peaceful weekly march in Bilin near Ramallah. Dozens of others choked on Israeli tear gas.

Bernat who is a minor was transferred to hospital after he was shot in the head by a rubber bullet. Meanwhile Abu Rahma was treated in the field after being shot by a live bullet.

Local sources revealed that a score of participants managed to climb the Israeli Separation Wall and raise Palestinian flags on top of it.

The marchers chanted anti-occupation slogans and others calling for Palestinian unity. The Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Bilin said that the march aimed at announcing the refusal of US new president-elect Donald Trump’s promises of moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Occupied Jerusalem.
