Child kidnapped by Israeli cops as thousands pray at Aqsa Mosque

Friday 13-January-2017

A Palestinian child was kidnapped by Israeli cops at one of the gates of the al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem as tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed Friday’s noon prayer at the holy site.

According to local sources the child was kidnapped by Israeli policemen from one of the entrance gates to the al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation police reportedly slapped dozens of traffic penalties against Palestinians driving in the area as part of a policy of collective punishment against Jerusalemites.

Hundreds of worshipers from the blockaded Gaza Strip were meanwhile denied access to Occupied Jerusalem to perform their prayer at al-Aqsa for the fifth week running.

At the same time Israeli police troops and border cops cordoned off the main entrances to the al-Aqsa and the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.

Speaking during Friday Khutbah (sermon) al-Aqsa Imam Sheikh Mohamed Hussein warned of underway attempts to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Occupied Jerusalem.

“Relocating the embassy is an assault on Muslims across the globe” said Sheikh Hussein warning that the move would stir hatred and trigger unabated tension.

The Imam further spoke out against Israel’s illegal settlement activity and violations of Palestinians’ rights.
