A meeting held by the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza on Sunday culminated in a decision to establish the Qatari Embassy building sometime soon.
Head of the committee’s road projects department Abdul Haleem al-Issawi said the decision came following a meeting between the Qatari committee and local contractors.
Prior to the meeting a field visit was paid to the location of the projected embassy headquarters in the besieged coastal enclave of Gaza.
The building is expected to be established to the south of Gaza’s seaport on a land lot covering five dunums.
