The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) said that the US House of Representatives overwhelmingly voting in favor of condemning the UN Security Council resolution critical of Israel’s settlement activity proves its unlimited support of Israel.
In a statement on Saturday the PFLP said that the US has clearly declared its supportive standing by the side of Israel saying that the new government under Donald Trump will not be different from the previous ones in terms of the US policy vis-a-vis the Israeli-Arab conflict. The US policy has been always biased and defending the Israeli occupation the statement underlined.
The PFLP also called on the Palestinian leaders not to count on the new American government since it will remain supportive to Israel.
On December 30 the UN Security Council passed a resolution in a 14-0 vote with the only abstention coming from the United States condemning Israeli settlements in the West Bank including East Jerusalem.
The resolution stated that Israel should immediately and completely cease all settlement activities in “occupied Palestinian territory.”
