Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum has categorically denied media claims about the involvement of his Movement in the inter-Libyan conflicts.
In a press release on Friday Barhoum described the claims which some Libyan media outlets publicized on behalf of officials from the interior ministry in Tobruk about Hamas’s involvement in Libya’s internal problems as “lies and false accusations.”
“We do not interfere in the internal affairs of any country. Our compass points to Jerusalem our goal is to liberate our land and our conflict is only with the Israeli enemy” the spokesman underlined.
Barhoum expressed his Movement’s hope that Libya would overcome its problems soon and be more stable and prosperous than before.
He also voiced confidence that the Libyan people would always be supportive of the Palestinian people and their just struggle against the occupation.
