Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Friday prayer at al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem amid very tight Israeli police restrictions.
According to Quds Press Palestinian worshipers from Gaza Strip were denied entry to the holy city to perform Friday prayers in al-Aqsa.
Israeli police forces were earlier deployed in large numbers throughout the occupied city and near al-Aqsa’s gates.
Scores of worshipers were stopped and searched at the entrances to the Mosque.
During the Friday sermon al-Aqsa preacher called for intensifying Palestinian presence in the holy shrine and called for an immediate action for lifting Gaza siege and releasing Palestinian prisoners.
