Nearly 30000 Israeli settlers carried out break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque during 2018 according to official statistics.
Spokesman for Jerusalem’s Islamic Awqaf Department Feras al-Dibs said that 29900 Israeli settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque in 2018 a 4000 increase compared to the previous year.
The Islamic Awqaf has repeatedly called for an end to the settler provocative tours but never received a response by the Israeli authorities.
Al-Dibs said that the Israeli police usually facilitate settler break-ins through al-Maghareba Gate which has been under Israeli control since 1967.
Israeli settlers conduct incursions into al-Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis except on Saturdays and Fridays in two rounds: the morning and the afternoon.
