The prominent activist Sheikh Sayeh al-Turi who lives inthe unrecognized village of al-Araqib started on Tuesday his 10-month prison sentencein al-Ramla prison.
Dozens of activists holding photos of Sheikh al-Turi marched from al-Araqib village to al-Ramla prison to show him support in front of Israeli oppression.
Al-Turi is likely the first Bedouin community to go to prison over his fight to have Israel recognize his ownership of land in the Negev.
