The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday evening deployed concrete blocks on a road near Khirbet al-Deir village southwest of Bethlehem in the West Bank.
According to local sources the IOF placed four concrete blocks on the road in order to use the spot as a checkpoint to search Palestinian citizens and allow soldiers to position themselves behind the cubes during clashes with local youths.
The West Bank has been seeing escalating violent tension in recent weeks especially after the IOF killed several Palestinians and carried out widespread demolitions against homes.
