IOF sprays skunk on Arroub camp homes

Sunday 16-December-2018

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday night used crowd control vehicles to spray putrid water on Palestinian homes in al-Arroub refugee camp north of al-Khalil.

The IOF justified its practice by claiming that it was intended to prevent local youths from throwing stones at its forces at the entrance to the camp.

Local sources said that Israeli troops stormed the camp at night and embarked on firing volleys of tear gas grenades on Palestinian young men before tankers equipped with water cannons sprayed skunk (foul-smelling liquid) on many houses.

Such smelly liquid used by the Israeli army takes days to fade from the skin of demonstrators and homes even after multiple washes.

Earlier Palestinian young men from the camp clashed with Israeli soldiers for the second consecutive day in response to the assassination of Ashraf Na’alwa and Saleh al-Barghouthi.
