The Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) has strongly denounced the US administration’s intent to extract a resolution from the UN General Assembly condemning the Palestinian resistance especially the Movements of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
During a parliamentary session held in Gaza City on Wednesday PLC speaker Ahmed Bahar affirmed that “the Palestinian people reject the US draft resolution and uphold their right to resistance which is guaranteed by international law.”
“The current American administration has gone too far in its evilness wrongdoing and aggression against the Palestinian people their just cause and their brave resistance” Bahar said.
“The current American political effort to condemn the Palestinian resistance at the UN reflects the enormity of political Nazism and fascism inherent in the US political positions towards our Palestinian people and their just cause” he added.
He described such US step as “a plan to acquit the Israeli occupation state of the major crimes it had committed against the Palestinian people and to give it the green light to commit more crimes.”
The speaker warned the international community that the US draft resolution on the Palestinian resistance if sanctioned would constitute a serious and direct threat to international peace and stability in general and a declaration of war on the Palestinian people.
