Haneyya reaches out to Turkish FM over US anti-resistance resolution

Tuesday 4-December-2018

Political Bureau Chief of Hamas Ismail Haneyya on Monday evening spoke to the Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Jawish oglu in an attempt to mobilize efforts to thwart the US endeavors to put forward a draft resolution at the UN General Assembly condemning the Palestinian resistance.

Haniya expressed Palestinians’ anger over the US endeavors to promote the Israeli narrative regarding the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and its biased pro-Israel standpoint.

Haneyya said the move represents another attempt to violate Palestinian rights a process that has already been signaled by the Jerusalem embassy move denial of the refugees’ right of return and the ceaseless smear campaigns aiming to delegitimize Palestinians’ right to self-defense.

The Turkish Foreign Minister vowed that his country will make all necessary efforts to thwart such a projected resolution which he said makes part of a biased pro-Israel position.

The Turkish official said his country will forever stand by the Palestinians throughout their anti-occupation struggle.

Ismail Haneyya made a series of calls with Arab Foreign Ministers and world leaders on Monday as he spoke out against the US endeavors to put forward a draft resolution condemning the Palestinian resistance including Hamas.
