IOF storms Azzun town clashes with young men

Sunday 4-November-2018

Violent clashes broke out on Saturday evening between Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers in Azzun town southeast of Qalqilya city in the occupied West Bank.

According to local sources Israeli troops about four military jeeps stormed the town as they were intensively and randomly firing stun grenades.

The presence of soldiers in the town provoked clashes with local youths who hurled stones at them.

Later the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) cordoned off Azzun town and prevented local residents from leaving or entering it after claiming they found an explosive device inside a well.

The sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that soldiers searched several homes in the town and caused damage to a Palestinian car.

They added that a local young man called Abdul-Rahman Adili was kidnapped from his home during the IOF campaign.

Several young men also suffered from their exposure to tear gas fumes during their clashes with soldiers.
