Abu Marzouk deplores wave of Arab normalization with Israel

Thursday 1-November-2018

Member of Hamas’s political bureau Mousa Abu Marzouk has strongly denounced what he called “the wave of normalization by Arab countries with the Israeli occupation state.”

“It is odd that there are those who prevent the Palestinians from entering or work in their countries but when they wanted to normalize relations with the [Israeli] enemy they justified their action by claiming they wanted to help the Palestinians and end their suffering” Abu Marzouk stated on his Twitter page.

The Hamas official affirmed that the Palestinians did not ask anyone in the region to establish ties with Israel in order to help them adding that the Arab peace initiative which was launched by Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz in 2002 stipulated an end to the occupation before normalization.

Recently Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu paid a visit to Oman at the invitation of Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

Israeli minister of sports and culture Miri Regev also received a warm welcome in the United Arab Emirates and met with local officials during a recent visit to the country.
