A Palestinian young man was killed and eight others injured on Friday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at peaceful demonstrators in al-Mazra’a al-Gharbiya town north of Ramallah.
Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that Othman Ladadweh 33 died after being shot in the head while eight other Palestinians were injured by live ammunition one of whom seriously.
Violent confrontations flared up on Friday in al-Mazra’a al-Gharbiya as dozens of Palestinians marched toward lands threatened with confiscation by the Israeli authorities.
Local sources said that the IOF attacked the protesters with live ammunition rubber-coated metal bullets sound bombs and teargas canisters.
Meanwhile the IOF arrested the Palestinian child Ayman Abu Eisha 15 during clashes in al-Khalil city between the IOF soldiers and unarmed Palestinian youths.
Palestinian security forces were seen deployed in large numbers in Bab al-Zawiya area to prevent the Palestinian youths from throwing stones at the IOF soldiers.
