IOF kidnaps 12 Palestinians in West Bank campaigns

Tuesday 23-October-2018

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday arrested 12 Palestinians during large-scale sweeps launched in the West Bank.

Local sources said that the IOF raided the family houses of five Palestinian prisoners in Nablus and wreaked havoc on them.

For the third week in a row the IOF launched a special raid campaign in Tulkarem in search for Ashraf Na’alweh who is accused of stabbing three Israeli settlers earlier in October.

The PIC reporter said that a 14-year-old Palestinian boy identified as Sajed Jibreel sustained minor injuries after he was hit by an Israeli military jeep during the confrontations that broke out in Nablus at daybreak.

The IOF also stormed Sebastia northwest of Nablus while groups of Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian farmlands in Aqraba southeast of the city.

Similar raids were witnessed in Bethlehem where a Palestinian youth was arrested and another injured by a live bullet to the leg during clashes between Palestinian citizens and the IOF soldiers.

Other clashes flared up in al-Khalil when the IOF stormed Halhul city amid heavy firing of live ammunition rubber-coated metal bullets and teargas canisters.

Eyewitnesses said that the IOF soldiers violently searched a number of Palestinian houses before dozens of Palestinian youths confronted the attack and forced the soldiers to withdraw by throwing stones and empty bottles at them.

Meanwhile in Qalqilya the IOF raided Azzun town and arrested the two brothers Ezz al-Qaddoumi 17 and Ahmad al-Qaddoumi 16.

A Palestinian youth at the same time in Jenin was detained at a military checkpoint near Qabatia town and interrogated before he was released hours later.
